 expensive items it will bebetter to choose the furnaces keeping in mind certain questions which are given below: 

For which purpose you are selecting ? and what is the actual size you require ?
Size and purpose should never be ignored. There are many furnaces that are multipurpose but may not suit to your requirements. 
Hence you should specify the purpose in clear terms before buying the furnace. Secondly the size should be selected as per the 
area of your establishment and the volume of the work.

What is the heat generation system of your furnace?
After deciding the purpose now check the heat generation system. The furnace are available in both gas fired and electricity fired 
mode. In case of gas fired furnace leakage should be checked as it may cause seeping of gas in the place of operation. If you are
 going for electric furnace the heating element should be properly checked.

How is a insulation system?
The insulation system keeps the heat intact and thereby enhances the productivity. The insulated material therefore should be
 properly verified.

Whether the temperature/ heat distribution is proper?
Uniform distribution of heat in the furnace is an important aspect that should be looked carefully.

Whether there is proper temperature control ?
The temperature flow should be normal and controllable. There are furnaces which have automatic temperature control system. 
You should not ignore this aspect. Overheat protection is other aspect which should also be looked.

Furnace Safety Tips

Furnaces are important device that are used for various applications. However for their safe and operations it is necessary to take
 certain precautions which are as follows. 
· During operation of furnace you should make sure that furnace panels and grills are in place whereas the fan compartment
 door is closed. If you leave these doors open it could cause carbon monoxide to build up in living areas.

· Air filters should be clean and if there is any problem in your filter you should change it immediately.

· Discoloration, soot or build-up around the burner access door and vents indicates a problem which should be redressed 
immediately.

· The water must not be allowed to come in close proximity of furnace as contact can cause the molten aluminum or zinc-based alloys used in the furnace to explode.

· The venting system should be proper and the soft, rusted, or broken vent piping can release combustion products into your home. 

Furnace Maintenance

For long life of a furnace, it is necessary that you take necessary steps from time to time. Its maintenance is easy and cheap. You 
need to take certain steps on a regular basis. Following are some of the guidelines. 
· Before performing any maintenance, make sure to switch off the electrical power and the fuel supply.

· The combustion chamber generates the fire therefore their is a buildup of carbon soot which can corrode the chamber wall hence
 the chambers should be cleaned on the regular basis.

· Leakage or possibility of leakage in the pipe should also be repaired from time to time as it may cause the seeping of the carbon 
monoxide.

· The oil filter must be cleaned from time to time. Any defect in the oil filter may lead to the clogging of the oil-burner nozzle,  which could result in a misfire that shuts down the system. It is therefore necessary that defective filter should be replaced.

· In case of electric furnace the heating element should be checked and defective piece should be replaced
